Originally serialized in Comic Kairakuten BEAST from the November 2020 installment, High-Rise Liaison is a twenty-page story from creator Hinasaki Yo, who has about three dozen other works on the service. I had gotten into them through some of their darker works but they’ve done a couple of more amusing chapters since then and this one leans into the silly side nicely at times while otherwise being a pretty good vanilla style chapter. A lot of the appeal is obviously in the character artwork as the character designs are really good, but I like the flow that they bring to their stories and the kind of character engagement that we get.
The story that we get for this introduces to Mukai, an art teacher at the local culture center where he’s giving a class. It’s hear that Shiori goes and does pretty well with her artwork but she mentions to him that she wants to start learning digital art. Her offer for him to come to her home for a lesson has him wary, especially with her husband away, but he agrees to help and we do see them actively engage in this at her very well to do place. It’s clear her husband makes some good money but she’s got the undercurrents of a wife who doesn’t know what her husband does on these trips and only imagines bad things. She and Mukai are having a good time going through the lesson but it all falls apart once her friends Sakura and Maki show up with booze in hand for some drinking.
Mukai, realizing that he’s sitting with three women who are married and getting inebriated pretty quickly, knows that this is not a good situation. But you have to laugh as Sakura and Maki, knowing Shiori has a crush on her teacher, begin to torment him and getting things moving to a naked sense fairly quickly. That spark of jealousy was all that Shiori needed to get involved herself and before you know it there are bodies everywhere across this couch and Mukai is being worked pretty hard in a great way to pleasure all of them. There’s a good sharing experience to all of this as well with how Shiori’s jealousy doesn’t keep her from stopping the others from being involved but she’s clearly enjoying it the most, though the other two definitely get into it in a big way as well, making for one messy and sweaty little party.
In Summary
Hinasaki Yo delivers wonderfully when it comes to just about everything, though it could have gone another ten pages to give everyone more time together. I adore the costume design for all of the women here as they’re not just in basic little outfits or anything and each layer reveals something new. Each has their own personality and feels somewhat realize as it gets deeper into the naughty material and just how much fun they all have together. It doesn’t quite have the sense that they’ve done this before but one can imagine that they might be up for it again, leaving me hopeful that we might see more of this group again some day as it was pretty hot.
