Crunchyroll Streaming ‘Girl’s High’ Anime Series Ending Soon

Eriko and her friends finally make it to an exclusive high school and they're ready to make the most of it!

One of our favorite shows from a lifetime ago is the 2006 anime series Girls’ High, which Media Blasters brought out on DVD back in 2007 and Crunchyroll started streaming in 2017 for a limited time before it expired. Now, it may be a new release coming on Blu-ray in the future as Media Blasters tagged it thusly on their Facebook page when talking about the opening sequence, which is a delight. It follows in the line of how other recent titles teased for high definition Blu-ray releases have gone so we’re definitely hopeful.

Originally released in 2006, the series was directed by Yoshitaka Fujimoto based on the series composition by Hideki Shirane from the manga by Towa Oshima. Seiji Kishimoto worked on the character designs and ARMS handled the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Hitomi Nabatame as Eriko Takahashi, Kyoko Hikami as Kyoko Himeji, Mamiko Noto as Ayano Sato, Masumi Asano as Yuma Suzuki, Satsuki Yukino as Akari Koda and Sawa Ishige as Ikue Ogawa.

Plot concept: Three girls, Eriko, Yuma, and Ayano, are excited about starting their first day of high school. They get so excited that they break the rules before even starting by touring the school before the school’s opening ceremony. They find out their original notions about the all female school may not be as true as they were thinking. However, Eriko and her friends are joined by more new friends. They all work hard to get through high school life together.
