The winter 2017 anime series Gabriel Dropout is having the spotlight shone on it once again as Kaze Deutschland has revealed their trailer for the show with a German-language dub. Scheduled for a July 20th, DVD and Blu-ray release, the first volume for both format is a limited edition priced at € 43.95 that will have the first four episodes with a box to hold the entire run. While on-disc extras are not set yet, the release will come with a bonus manga, four art cards, a booklet, and a game poster.

The anime adaptation has set Masahiko Oota to direct based on the series composition by Takashi Aoshima. Katsuhiro Kumagai is handling the character designs and Doga Kobo is handling the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Miyu Tomita as Gabriel, Saori Onishi as Vene, Naomi Ozora as Satania and Kana Hanazawa as Raphiel.

The work began back in 2014 as serialized in Comic Dengeki Daioh “g” and has seven volumes to date so far. The series is Ukami’s second after the 2012 single-volume release of Seishun Ouka Bu.

The series features the opening song “Gabriel Dropkick” by Miyu Tomita, Saori Ōnishi, Naomi Ōzora, and Kana Hanazawa and the ending theme song “Hallelujah Essaim” by Miyu Tomita, Saori Ōnishi, Naomi Ōzora, and Kana Hanazawa.

Plot concept: Chief Angel has come to Earth! However, she became so used to the life on Earth that she skips school and keeps on playing online games, thus into self-destruction. It’s a school comedy that Gabriel turns into a lazy angel!
