Ainz and Tanya are bickering over something. What exactly are they arguing about? They’re fighting over…what to put on your chicken wings, haha. Fantastic. Tanya is a fan of salt and pepper on her chicken wings. Ainz is a ketchup kind of guy. Subaru interjects and says he puts mayo on his chicken wings. Tanya and Ainz are both disappointed in him and tell him to mind his own business. Poor Subaru. Personally, I like hot sauce or BBQ sauce on my chicken wings. I’ve never considered putting ketchup or mayo on them. I don’t mind salt and pepper though. I guess I’m on Tanya’s side.

Anyway, Rerugen decides to take a survey to see what everyone else thinks. The results reveal that everyone is fairly split on this. Darkness is surprised that Rem is on Team Salt & Pepper. She thought she’d be on Subaru’s side. Rem admits that she’s always on his side…except on this! Dang, what you put on your chicken wings is serious business. Unsurprisingly, the Overlord crew all chose ketchup…except Cocytus!? He chose salt and pepper but he promises he’s not disloyal! Megumin is on Team Ketchup because the crimson sauce is perfect for a crimson demon like her. Never change, Megumin. Subaru is joined by Kazuma, Aqua, and Weiss on Team Mayo. Tanya and Ainz don’t care about them. Tanya proclaims that majority vote solves nothing. Well, how will they decide what’s the best thing to put on chicken wings now!? Rerugen suggests a dodgeball game. Ah, of course! Deciding things with a game of dodgeball is always the best course of action.

Rerugen makes Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo join the dodgeball game in order to even out the sides. Team Salt & Pepper is happy to have Naofumi and Filo on their side! On the other hand, the 2019 Best Girl as chosen by the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, Raphtalia, is on Team Ketchup. She’s sorry to be on the opposing side but Naofumi starts laughing? He likes that she chose ketchup. Raphtalia makes an array of adorably confused faces. Alright, let’s get this dodgeball game started! Visha and the butcher are on commentary. In the first play of the game, Shalltear tosses the ball at Darkness and she gladly takes the hit because, well, she’s Darkness. She’s also out. Rem and Ram do a combo attack and kick the ball at the team of Mare and Aura! Now that’s a team bout I never thought I wanted to see until now. Mare and Aura also kick the ball. But you know what? Kicking isn’t allowed in dodgeball! They’re all out. Kazuma uses his ability to steal the ball and gives it to Aqua. She proclaims that the Axis Church but she wants freaking mayo on her chicken wings! She launches the ball with a God blow and it heads in Ainz’s direction. Albedo intercepts it with the Walls of Jericho! She summons an actual wall but also puts Grantz in the Walls of Jericho wrestling move. That last bit seemed unnecessary but as a wrestling fan, I can definitely appreciate that nod to Chris Jericho.

This is one intense game of dodgeball, huh? Chomusuke gets in on the action and launches the ball at Subaru. He’d be dead if it wasn’t for Beatrice moving him out of the way. Emilia, with the help of the perfectly not-normal cat Puck, catches the ball and throws it at Naofumi. He goes ham and uses his rage shield to deflect it. Before you know it, it’s almost nighttime. This dodgeball game has been going on for a while! Ainz declares that it’s time to end this farce and Megumin comments that his line was super cool. Also, she wants to do a combo attack with him. Megumin starts chanting and even goads Ainz into chanting with her. They unleash a combination explosion/nuclear blast attack but Tanya blocks it with a defensive shield! The ball also pops. Honestly, I’m surprised it held out this long. Tanya, Ainz, Kazuma, Subaru, and Naofumi all agree that this was stupid in the first place. Ainz apologizes for being childish but Tanya says she was the childish one. Kazuma and Subaru find it funny that a child and undead called themselves childish. Everyone has a good laugh! Now that everything has been resolved, how about some croquettes? Nobody argues about what you put on croquettes, right? Tanya states that she puts salt and pepper on her croquettes and EVERYONE just perplexedly stares at her. Who the heck puts salt and pepper on croquettes!?

In Summary:
Did you know that what you put on your chicken wings is serious business? Because it is. Hot sauce or BBQ sauce all the way! If I’m being honest, these types of episodes are my favorite. I love it when everyone is just fighting over random things. It makes for good comedy! That being said, this was a fun episode full of randomness. And hey, the Shield Hero peeps got to do something!
