Originally serialized in Comic Bavel from the January 2019 installment, Boxer Briefs is a four-page story from creator Gegera Toshikazu, who has about a dozen other works on the service. I’ve not explored the color side of what FAKKU has nor the short-form stories like this as I’ve preferred to stick to the stories of the twenty-plus pages. But I figured it was worth taking the plunge once in a while, just like short-form anime, to see what it’s like. It does feel weird after so much of what I’ve been reading the last couple of years being in black and white to have a little bit of color but it works well and gives it a little extra sparkle. Toshikazu’s artwork is pretty good as well so that it handles the details right and the color layering is pretty spot on so that it has some nice depth to it, giving it more roundness in places where it needs it.
The premise for this short is that we’ve got Kinoka watching something on her computer only to have onii-chan show up behind her wondering why she’s wearing men’s boxer briefs. She’s got that and a little top on so there’s plenty of skin showing as she goes on with how they’re super comfortable but they also make it easier for her to tease him. It leads into some cute moments with her tugging them around and rubbing them all over him to prove her point, but that just puts him into super horny mode and it’s a hard and fast encounter between the two. It unfolds well as Kinoka never takes them briefs off in full and while they’re not lingerie, there’s the belief that anything can add eroticism to the moment if worn right. Though Kinoka doesn’t look great in all the scenes, going too fast into the drooling sex slave visual for her face too quickly, there’ still a good sense of fun about the story overall.
In Summary
Boxer Briefs definitely has its appeal but it’s understandable that it’s not for everyone – on both sides of the equation. Gegera Toshikazu has his fun with it here with his own branded underwear for Kinoka to wear in order to toy with her toy. I can definitely see checking out a few more short-form stories like this here and there from different creators just to see who is utilizing the length well in order to tell something fun or hot. Gegera Toshikazu definitely has a fun piece here that looks great.
