With this fourth season set to be the final one as well, this episode closes out things nicely. It’s done up as introducing new idols through a competition format with some of the existing character being judges, which is cute since they’re all in on it. The competitions aren’t hard in the traditional sense since it’s things like best self-intro, but it’s cute watching the girls come on and introduce themselves and set up for what’s to come. Even the basics of the secret talent has its moments while they get goofy in how they apply them. I don’t know how well someone might get to know these characters in this format, the whole Idolmaster thing is still beyond me, but it works nicely here as a single-focus episode.

In Summary:
I’ve enjoyed the light simplicity of this franchise as a whole and getting lots of cute girls in an odd form doing simple things made for a nice diversion for four seasons. I’ve never watched the mothership series so I may be missing out on parts of it but what we got here was a cute little time waster that made me smile a few minutes each week for about a year’s worth of material. It’s definitely for fans but it can spread out a bit more if you’re up to it as well.
