‘Nanaka 6/17’ Anime Streaming Expiring Soon

Nanaka 617The Anime Network has been streaming Nanaka 6/17 on the Hulu service for a while now but it looks like things are getting ready to wrap up soon with it. An expiration date of May 22nd has now surfaced with the show, which gives fans just under a month to check out this very fun series. The Anime Network is streaming only the dubbed version, which you can see the first episode of below.

Originally licensed by ADV Films, the series is based on the manga by Ken Yagami, which ran for twelve volumes between 2001 and 2003 in Shounen Champion. Animated by JC Staff, it aired in the winter 2003 season and was directed by Hiroaki Sakura based on the script from Mamiko Ikeda and character designs by Masayuki Onji. Don Rush served as the ADR director for the dub.

Plot concept: Seventeen-year-old Nanaka Kirisato is a high school student serious about her studies and goals in life. She frequently criticizes her best friend, Nenji Nagihara, for being a childish delinquent who spends his time fighting other boys. Then one day, after a heated argument with Nenji, she falls off a flight of stairs and suffers a brain injury, resulting in her mind reverting to that of a six-year-old. With this in mind, Nanaka’s father and Nenji must keep her injury a secret as she struggles to live a normal life and grow up all over again.
