2 min read

Spider-Man HomecomingWhile fans still aren’t warming up to the title of Spider-Man: Homecoming, things are starting to perk up with how the film itself may be revealed. We’ve gotten a few more snippets of the character in the Civil War TV spots that are enticing and amid the red carpet events for that film the folks at HeyUGuys got a couple of good questions in with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feigh about Homecoming. What it reveals is that they’re definitely in the driver’s seat for this film creative-wise and that could certainly set a potentially intriguing expanded universe for Sony Pictures down the line. Check that out and more in the clip below.

“Well, I’ve known all those people for a very long time,” he tells HeyUGuys of Marvel’s relationship with Sony. “Amy Pascal, Tom Rothman, who runs Sony now, I’ve known for years. So, it’s been great. They really are supportive in allowing us to make the creative decisions to make [Spider-Man: Homecoming], but they’ve been great partners. So far so good on that movie.”

Set for a July 7th, 2017 release, the film is directed by Jon Watts. It will star Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei and Zendaya while including a special appearance by Robert Downey, Jr.
