We haven’t had too much this past month for the spring 2014 series Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, aka The Irregular At Magic High School, but now a new thirty second spot has landed. The show is based on the ongoing novel series by Tsutomu Satou for the story and Kana Ishida for the artwork. Saori Hayami is set to take on the role of Miyuki Shiba while Yuuichi Nakamura will take on the role of Tatsuya Shiba. The light novel series has done well since its introduction in the summer of 2011 as this we recently saw the release of the twelfth installment for it. The show is definitely on the fast track as part of Dengeki Bunko’s 20th anniversary push to bring more of its materials into the spotlight. The series is set to be directed by Ono Manabu with character designs by Ishida Kana. Animation is being done by Madhouse. The opening song is being done by LiSA while the ending song has ELISA taking on the duties.
Plot concept: Magic is a product of neither legends nor fairy tales, but instead has become a technology of reality since a time unknown to people. Supernatural power became a technology systematized through magic, while magic became a technical skill. A “Supernatural Power User” became a “Magic Technician.” Magic Technicians (in short, Magicians) are nurtured through Magic High Schools and Universities.
