2 min read

queen and country smallWhile Ellen Page has been doing her work this year in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past where she revisits the character of Kitty Pryde once again, and is continually hopeful of a Joss Whedon film using that character, she’s also branching out into another comic book adaptation. The actress is in negotiations for Queen & Country, a potential franchise film series, based on the comic series written by Greg Rucka for Oni Press which came out several years ago. The lead character is that of Tara Chace, a secret Intelligence Service officer which is what Page is expected to be in talks for. The original series ran for 32 issues between 2011 and 2007 with Fox having attempted to bring it to the big screen since at least 2005. A sequel series of the comic is in the works from Oni Press.

Plot concept:  In this first collection, readers are introduced to the thrilling and often-times devastating world of international espionage as SIS field agent Tara Chase is sent all over the world in service to her Queen & Country all the while Director of Operations Paul Crocker walks a narrow tightrope between his loyalty to his people and the political masters that must be served!
