Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C3 Episode 7 | TFP Review
EmperorBrandon: Dang, things took such a serious turn so early in the episode. They seem to be pointing out Rin so much on the “who shot at Sono-chan-senpai” thing that it leads me to think it’s going to be a red herring. Either way, curious to see what happens there. Yura is going all all out for victory and becoming rather overbearing to some of the other girls in the process, who want the old Yura back. With this being a multi-episode arc, do wonder if it’s here that she’s going to end up learning her lesson and find a middle ground between having fun and being too obsessed with winning.
dsmith: I think it’s a feint within a feint. There’s no way Rin would have attacked Sonora that way just to weaken the competition, a la Kodachi, which means that the sniper has to be someone else and Rin’s being there was just a coincidence. Unless… Sonora actually asked Rin to snipe at her in order to increase Yura’s awareness of the actual dangers involved, and hopefully shake her out of this little obsessed state she’s in. After all, who else would Sonora trust to actually snipe a soda can out of her hand while walking down the street? The accident with the car was just an unfortunate side-effect.
It was Yura’s speech to Sonora in the hospital (and Sonora’s reaction) that made me realize that Sonora probably would go that far (and further, by staying in the hospital in order to let things continue to play out) to try to turn Yura off of her current path.
