“The ending of this show about my little sister can’t be this controversial!” edition.
August 17th was the streaming release through Crunchyroll of all three of the series-ending Oreimo OVAs, which wrapped up the second season of the popular franchise. (Free users of the service could see them as of the 24th.) The reaction on the forum, as elsewhere in online anime fandom, was swift and not lacking in strong reaction to the way this story of a sibling bond tested by other relationships and otaku passions ended.
The extensive selections from the discussion, on the following page, primarily focus on the execution of the story of Oreimo as it came to an end, especially as it reflected on the two main characters, Kirino and her brother Kyousuke. As with all selections in these Highlights, but especially here, I would recommend checking into the full discussion for other comments on additional characters in the story.
