‘Medaka Box’ Anime Returns In October For Second Season

2 min read

While the first season of Medaka Box had its issues and most fans of the original manga were pleading with people to stick with it as it’s just the bland stuff before the twist, the second season was formally announced at the end of that season. Now there’s confirmation via the TV Tokyo site that the series will be returning this fall in October for the second season, making it even more apparent that it was planned for two seasons from the start. Often a show that gets a last minute additional season doesn’t hit until almost a year later, such as Yuru Yuri. Expect a firm broadcast date in the coming weeks.

The series was simulcast on Crunchyroll and a home video release is planned from Sentai Filmworks.

Plot concept: The gorgeous, peerless student council president, Medaka Kurokami, solves everyone’s problems! Medaka Kurokami, who has just become Sandbox Academy’s 98th student council president, sets up a suggestion box as promised in her election campaign. “Your dreams belong to you. Go after them and make them come true yourself. Your worries, however, belong to me. Send them all my way!!” As Medaka solves her fellow students’ problems along with her friend since childhood, Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, her suggestion box, nicknamed the Medaka Box, earns great popularity among the students.
