It’s rare we get a chance to talk about this title at all these days, so forgive us for taking any opportunity to extol our love of Maison Ikkoku. Like many series from Rumiko Takahashi, it’s pretty much an evergreen property in Japan and that means it’s constantly being reused and reinvented in new and unusual ways. The latest form for the classic romantic comedy from the manga author will come in January 2012 as a Pachinko Slot Machine that will be going out into the world.
Yes, you can put lots and lots of money into Maison Ikkoku now and get back more than just warm and fuzzy feelings. Check out the nearly nine minute video below that’s been released to see how it’s being reworked into the format.
