FUNimation Serves Up October Anime DVD, BD, Combo Slate

2 min read

The first blue look at what’s coming from FUNimation in October has been revealed and it’s looking like a good month for some fans, though it’s largely a series of re-releases so far which is a bit disappointing. On the new side, we finally have a date for Darker Than Black‘s second season and it’s getting the DVD/BD combo (and making me anticipate and hope for the first season to get the BD treatment after over a years worth of HD trailers for that season). Also new on the black for this month is the 7th installment of the Dragon Ball Z Dragon Box sets, which is actually bump back from its original September release date. Beyond that, we get re-prices and some Classic Line pushs for various titles, though there are things worth checking out if you missed them the first time around. We’ll heartily recommend Initial D in this form as well as a very enthusiastic look at the Bamboo Blade collection which has the whole shebang for $30 list.

You can find overall discussion on these releases here as well as a Darker Than Black specific discussion here.
