A new TV spot premiered during American Idol last night that raises the ante on Green Lantern with what seems to be some even more improved special effects, a closer look at the actual villain of the film in Parallax and a heavy focus on the action, which plays into the younger crowd that watches the show at this stage, as well as their parents. Add in some new dialogue and you’ve got a quick spot that helps to slowly raise awareness of the June 17th release. It’s not the WonderCon extended footage we got obviously, and it’s aimed at a different market. Expect to see more Ryan Reynolds based spots coming up as well to draw on his fan base.
