‘Trylle Trilogy’ Finds Funding For Theatrical Run

1 min read

After word surfaced back in February on Amanda Hocking’s site that her series, the Trylle Trilogy, was being looked at for a theatrical adaptation and that Terri Tatchell (of District 9 fame) was the one that optioned it, a bit more news has come about today. The New York Times is reporting that the rights have landed in the hands of Media Rights Capital and that they intend to take the three books and make them into two feature films.

“Amanda has created such a fresh, unique, fabulous world, and I am absolutely dead set on bringing it to the screen without compromising any of that,” Ms. Tatchell said by telephone from Vancouver, Canada.

Plot summary: When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. It isn’t until eleven years later that Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. With the help of Finn Holmes, Wendy finds herself in a world she never knew existed – a world both beautiful and frightening, and Wendy’s not sure she wants to be a part of it.
