2 min read

With the release of the first season of the TV series version of The Walking Dead out on Blu-ray and DVD today, comiXology is getting in on the action by offering a rather sweet sale for people who want to sample the comics or to get their hands on a digital edition in addition to their print ones. There are currently eleven trades in digital form via the comiXology service, which offers comics on the web, iPad, iPhone and Android devices, and they’re priced down to just $5.99 a book, which is essentially a buck an issue. So you can grab the first 66 issues worth of Walking Dead for just $66 total. You can see their collections sale page for the series here.

ComiXology also offers the individual issues for sale and they’re currently up to issue 81, which was released on February 9th.

Story concept: An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.
