Justin Bieber Movie Holds Strong

1 min read
Amid a week of tough competition but with a sluggish overall box office report, the Justin Bieber documentary movie has held rather strong with just a 48% dropoff rate from its opening weekend which was already quite good. The film added another $13.6 million to its coffers with more expected from the Monday holiday which will bring its total between $48.5 million to $51 million. With the feature running a tab of just $13 million, it easily made everything back in its opening weekend and will continue to do good numbers theatrically and through a home video release and other avenues of distribution which will likely have incentives tied to it. The movie was released via the Insurge Pictures division of Paramount Pictures whose goal is to find low brudget films that should connect well on a social media level and grassroots level. With the way Bieber has found his fame through fans via YouTube, it makes sense that this feature has fit into that plan.
