An eagle eyed fan noticed something interesting on the FUNimation streaming schedule as a show that hasn’t been dealt with in a couple of years is getting some streaming. With a release that began years ago and struggled to find an audience on home video, Case Closed, aka Detective Conan, looks to be getting some of its episodes available online in both sub and dub form. The series has had five “seasons” released on DVD which covered the first one hundred and thirty episodes, but it’s been a few years since the last priced down editions landed and some of the movies have gone out of print as well. FUNimation has set this schedule up so far and it’s likely to add more along the way and fans can always hope that some additional streaming views might encourage additional episodes to be picked up, so definitely check it out if you have an interest.

Dub Schedule:

Case Closed, 1-2, Sub, TV-PG, 03/05/13
Case Closed, 3-4, Sub, TV-PG, 03/12/13

Subtitle Schedule:

Case Closed, 3-4, Sub, TV-PG, 03/29/13
Case Closed, 5-6, Sub, TV-PG, 04/05/13

Plot concept: The criminal mind is a twisted place, and Jimmy Kudo knows the shady corridors of humanity better than any detective in the game. There ain’t a bad guy in town who can outsmart him, so they try to put the super sleuth down for a dirt nap. But instead of ending up in a shallow grave, Jimmy wakes up to find himself turned back into a kid. Utilizing his unlikely new persona and the latest in crime-fighting gadgetry, he tracks down his assailants as boy detective Conan Edogawa.
