I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying Episode 11
Loneliness is the most dangerous friend.

What They Say:
Kaoru is an OL you can find anywhere, serious and works diligently, but her husband is a super otaku and more-or-less a NEET. She is caught up in one of her husband’s whims one day or the subject of his concerns another, but the two are so close that it’s embarrassing to even watch them!

The Review:

With some fun stuff about the couples past recently, and a nod towards children, it’s interesting to go back and see a little more of Kaoru as she suffered during her retail work experience and the way her life drained away because of it. Taking the time to look at how Kaoru lived her life, the loneliness of it and how it was eating at her is definitely welcome to see because it explains part of the reason she and Hajime are so good with each other and the kinds of needs that they fulfill for each other. With a mix of past and present here, you get a further sense of the kind of love that exists between the two and seeing some of Kaoru’s expressions, you can’t help but to smile with her all the way.

In Summary:
This show continues to be an utter delight in general as we get some good character material in the past and present to let us really get to know these characters. And the fact that they do it with four minute episodes each week just reinforces it all the more. So many shows focus on the potential of a couple, a couple that never gets together at that, that when we do get a series involved a real couple and married ones, well, you see the possibilities in really exploring them in a deeper and richer way. This is a very good episode for that, especially as it makes you like Kaoru all the more for what she was dealing with and seeing the impact on her.
