The short-form anime series Onee-chan ga Kita has gotten its home video marching orers in Japan and it’s a pretty decent release overall, all things considered. A lot of short-form shows don’t get Blu-ray releases, so there’s definitely a positive in there. The series will see its release on April 2nd, 2014 where the Blu-ray will be priced at 7,800 yen while the DVD is at 3,800 yen. The release will bring all twelve episodes of the series out on each format and we’re seeing that for the Blu-ray release, there will be a second disc included with a total of a hundred minutes worth of extras. What we know is included so far is that there will be a bonus episode, the clean ending, TV spots and an audio commentary track with more features to be announced.

Oneechan ga Kita, which adapts the manga of the same name by Rikou Anzai, began serialization in the seinen magazine Manga Life back in 2011. The show is being worked on by C2C, which we previously saw with Yurumates3Dei, and some of the staff will be coming from that as well with Yoshihde Yuuzimi directing it.

Plot concept: Tomoya’s father remarries to another woman, giving him a stepsister, Ichika. However Ichika is 17-years old and has completely fallen in love with her stepbrother who is only 13!! Families will collide in the most unusual fashion this season, in the new anime short: ONEE-CHAN GA KITA!
