The San Diego Comic-Con revealed last summer that the Star Wars: Clone Wars property has a new project is coming for it. The original series ran for five seasons on Cartoon Network and then the shift to Disney ownership complicated things, resulting in the sixth season showing up on Netflix as The Lost Missions.
We had learned at the time that the series is getting a twelve-episode run on the new Disney service when it launches – though we don’t have a premiere date for it as I don’t believe it was an “at-launch” title. With that in mind, we got our first look at what’s to come at Star Wars Celebration yesterday where it’ll bring back a lot of fan favorite charcters.
