Funimation Showcases Footage Comparison For ‘Dragon Ball Z 30th-Anniversary’ Collector’s Edition Release

2 min read

I had missed this when it first came around, there are so many Dragon Ball Z releases that it gets way too confusing after twenty years of this, but a 30th-anniversary set has hit its minimum and will be produced while there’s still room to make it in as it’s at the halfway mark overall for what can be produced. The set clocks in at $349.99 and brings it out in 4:3 form in HD with a new remaster. See the explanation of how the 4:3 remaster was done here,

The set contains:

• Entire Dragon Ball Z series in the original 4:3 aspect ratio, remastered on Blu-ray for the first time ever
• An exclusive 11-inch, 30th anniversary version, Grandista Goku collectible figure from Banpresto—not available anywhere else
• Full-sized hardback artbook—available only in this set• Housed in a stunning collectible box featuring Shenron in a striking foil design.
• Funimation reservations include an individually stamped and numbered Certificate of Authenticity

Property Concept: Goku, Earth’s greatest champion, bravely defends humanity against an invading race of warriors known as the Saiyans. When the mighty hero falls, his young son Gohan rises up to face the very villains who murdered his father. The battle rages through space to Planet Namek, where Gohan and his overmatched allies risk their lives to defeat the Saiyan warlord Vegeta – and the monster known as Frieza!
