Bandai Visual Sets ‘Gundam F91’ 4K UHD Anime Release

2 min read

Bandai Visual is following a pattern set when they started doing Blu-ray over a decade ago with specific titles hitting the 4K UHD format. The latest addition is the Mobile Suit Gundam F91 feature film with plans for it to hit on June 22nd, 2018. Sadly, it doesn’t look like it’ll have English subtitles – and we’re unlikely to see them trying to push these through various regional partners anytime soon – and it’s priced at 9,200 yen. It’ll include the Blu-ray and the 4K UHD disc.

On-disc extras include the trailer, special information in both Japanese and English, TV commercials, and a promotional video. The set will also come with a 100-page book of storyboards and sketches.

Plot concept: U.C. 0123. After a generation of peace, the Earth Federation has begun to build new space colonies to house humanity’s growing population. But a new force, the aristocratic Crossbone Vanguard, plans to seize the colonies of the newly constructed Frontier Side for itself. As their home becomes a battlefield, a handful of young civilians struggle to escape the conflict. To save his friends and family, the reluctant warrior Seabook Arno becomes the pilot of a new Gundam which bears the codename F91.
