The marketing push is on in a big way from Pony Canyon as they delve into the new winter 2015 anime series Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!. Now that the first episode is out, the push to get the purchases and preorders made is in full force as they have a trio of new TV spots that lets some of the main characters make their own pitch towards the releases. The show is getting a six volume release beginning on March 18th, 2015 with the DVDs priced at 5,800 yen each and the Blu-ray’s at 6,800 yen each. Details for the first volume are that it’ll include a booklet while on disc extras will have some “back to the show” materials as well as the clean opening and closing. There’ll also be some retailer exclusive editions with character CDs being released with those.
Pony Canyon is also promoting the two CDs that are due out on January 21st, 2015 for the opening song and the closing song. Both releases are priced at 1,200 yen each and have separate spots to highlight each work.
The series is being directed by Shinji Takamatsu while Chizuru Miyawaki will be assisting and they’ll be working off of the series composition done by Michiko Yokote. Masakazu Ishikawa will be handling the character designs and the series will be produced at studio Diomedea.

Plot concept: Teenage boys are notoriously lazy, and the members of Binan High School’s Earth Defense Club are no exception. Their definition of “earth defense” is bumming around all day at the local bathhouse. But when a pink wombat appears out of thin air and begs the boys to help him save the planet, even the idlest high schoolers jump to action. Watch the magical boys transform and save the earth with the power of LOVE!
