‘Sei Shounagon to Moushimasu’ Manga By Peach-Pit Gets Ending Scheduled

With a new Shugo Charat manga sequel series coming out this summer, Peach-Pit is getting their house in order and that means bringing to a close the Sei Shounagon to Moushimasu series that they’re currently working on. The property is now set to end with the May 1st, 2024 installment of Be Love that’s marked as 6/2024. The property began serialization in 2019 in the magazine and has eight volumes out so far with a ninth and final to be solicited.

The Peach-Pit duo made their debut in 1996 with a King of Fighters doujinshi and went on to create projects like Rozen MaidenShugo Character, DearS, and more.

Be Love is a Japanese monthly manga magazine targeting women published by Kodansha. It debuted in September 1980.

Plot Concept: The time is the Heian era. Kiyohara Nagiko, who is famous as a poet, is married to Norimitsu, the younger brother of Mitsuko Tachibana (the daughter of a late aristocrat). Mitsuko is suspicious of Nagiko’s bold and daring words and deeds, though she is beautiful and smart, and begins to investigate her surroundings, but she has a certain secret…
