The fall 2019 anime series Beastars has wrapped up its run on the first season and the second season saw a January 6th, 2021 debut. We learned back in September 2022 from the folks at Studio Orange that the third season, which will be the final one when it arrives, is set for a 2024 debut.

With the final season still expected to arrive in 2024, a new key visual has been released for the show below. With the main staff and cast returning, it was also confirmed that the season, which is again a Netflix exclusive, will get two cours when it’s released – though the number of episodes for it hasn’t been set yet I believe.

The latest update comes out of the AnimeJapan 2024 event where Netflix has dropped a new trailer for it of the teaser variety to get people excited about it.

The first two seasons are available on Netflix in its original Japanese language as well as English, German, French, and Spanish while subtitle options include Japanese closed captions, English subtitles, Spanish subtitles, as well as simplified and traditional Chinese subtitles.

The English dub was directed by Bob and Megan Buchholz at SDI Media. The cast includes Jonah Scott as Legoshi, Lara Jill Miller as Haru, Ben Diskin as Jack, Billy Kametz as Durham, Brian Beacock as Dom, Bryce Papenbrook as Kibi, Cristina Vee as Sheila, Daman Mills as Kai, Erika Harlacher as Els, Griffin Puatu as Louis, Kaiji Tang as Bill, Keith Silverstein as Gouhin, Kyle Hebert as Sanou, Kyle McCarley as Collot, Lauren Landa as Juno, Michael Chapman as Miguno, and Tony Azzolino as Aoba.

The manga comes from Paru Itagaki which began in 2016 in Weekly Shonen Champion and has seventeen volumes out.

YOASOBI is on board to perform the second season opening theme song “Kaibutsu” for the show.

Plot Concept: At a high school where the students are literally divided into predators and prey, it’s personal relationships that maintain the fragile peace. Who among them is a Beastar—an academic and social role model destined to become a leader in a society naturally rife with mistrust?
