‘Acma:Game’ Manga Live-Action Adaptation Expands Cast With New Trailer

A new live-action adaptation is in the works for a manga with the Acma:Game getting the nod in early January 2024. Set for an April 2024 premiere on NTV, the NTV TV series has Toya Sato, Shunsuke Kariyama, and Kento Matsuda on board as the directors working from scripts by Yoshihiro Izumi and Junichiro Taniguchi.

The latest update on the production has come in with four new cast members arriving with some interesting names doing voice work as well as a new trailer via Twitter. Additionally, the show is now slated to debut in over 150 countries via Prime Video, Hulu, and more with multiple languages being offered beginning on April 26th, 2024 after it gets its Japanese debut on April 7th, 2024.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Shotari Mamiya as Teruaki Oda
  • Juri Tanaka as Ui Saitō
  • Kotone Furukawa as Yūki Manabe
  • Ryō Ryūsei as Senya Uesugi

The newly added cast includes:

  • Junichi Suwabe as Gado
  • Maaya Sakamoto as Korzia
  • Yūichi Nakamura as Elva
  • Kana Hanazawa as Orochi

The manga comes from creator Meebu which ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine for Kodansha from 2013 to 2017 for twenty-two volumes. It’s available in English digitally through K MANGA

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Teruaki Oda, a high school senior gifted in smarts, looks, and money. This seemingly perfect scion of Japan’s powerful Oda Group gets caught in a nightmarish game with the son of the Belmont mafia family’s boss.
