Manga Dominates The Top 20 Adult Graphic Novels For February 2024

When it comes to manga, we’ve got something of a real change here once again that’s interesting. Most months, almost all – if not all – are from Viz Media and that’s due to the power of Shonen Jump properties. It’s a real stranglehold that’s frustrating when there are so many amazing books out there and other publishers that almost never chart as we see from ICv2.

As it says in the title, manga dominates and even within that there are some dominating titles. Seven of the titles this month are from Jujutsu Kaisen while six other slots are for Solo Leveling. That’s taking up two thirds of the top twenty right there and that’s good for those titles but kind of unhealthy in the big picture.

Naturally, it’s all about Viz Media still for the most part, but it’s still more varied than it has been in a while. TMNT is the one non-manga property here while Yen Press also gets in a copy of Oshi no Ko to the chart. This month sees Dark Horse with one slot for Berserk for the holidays while Yen Press isn’t able to get a single slot.
