An interesting anime project was announced at the start of 2023 with the game show Run for the Monday inspiring a new work with Tosochu: The Great Mission. The game show itself has been going on since 2004 with a kind of hunt-and-pursuit concept within places like theme parks, malls, and so forth. It’s had a number of live-action interpretations so far so an anime is only natural.

With the series seeing an April 2nd, 2023 premiere date, the latest update has come in as we’re just two episodes away from the show wrapping up. That new update has come in with a pair of new cast members with Hiroshi Kamiya and Shino Shimoji as well as a new series key visual. The series features fhana handling the opening theme song “Runaway World” while the ending theme song “Fly Away” is from AB6IX.
