A new original anime series was in the works with the site and social going live for Revenger at the end of September 2022. The project comes from Nitroplus and Shochiku and we’ve had a few details revealed so far with the promos and visuals below as well as Crunchyroll having picked up the show.
With the series making a January 5th, 2023 debut, the latest is Australian distributor Madman Entertainment setting a home video release there. The series is now scheduled for a Blu-ray release on April 3rd, 2024 priced at $69.95 for the two-disc bilingual release. Extras are currently listed with:

The show has Masaya Fujimori directing it with Gen Urobuchi working n the scripts with Renji Oki. Yuji Hosoge is doing the character design adaptation for it with animation production at Ajiado. We also learned that Maaya Sakamoto is performing “un_mute” as the ending theme song.
The Japanese cast includes Hisako Kanemoto as Nio, Yuichiro Umehara as Yuen Usui, Jun Kasama as Raizo Kurima, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Teppa Murakami, and Shouta Hayama as Soji.
The series has Cris George as the ADR director working from the scripts by James Cheek. The English cast includes Aaron Campbell as Raizo, Christopher Wehkamp as yuen, Gabe Kunda as Teppa, Hayden Daviau as Nio, Nazeeh Tarsha as Soji, Jeremy Inman as Matsumine, and Philip Weber as Hirata.

Plot Concept: As a master assassin, Usui Yuen looks into a series of assassinations made on the grand samurai clan, the Satsuma, he encounters Kurima Raizo, a member and survivor of one of the attacks. Together, they discover the true nature of these murders is bigger than over stolen resources. As they get closer to the truth, will they come out alive to exact revenge?
