The spring 2018 anime series Uma Musume previously wrapped up and saw TOHO bringing out the project as a Blu-ray-only release. The show was put together as a series of four box sets that began on July 18th, 2018 where they’re priced at 12,800 yen each while the second run did its own thing. Now, the third season has been scheduled by TOHO with plans for Japan and the twelve-episode series is again getting a four-volume release. It’s set where they’re on Blu-ray only and priced at 8,900 yen per volume.
While we’ve got awhile to go yet before the first volume arrives, we now have a look at the finalized first cover artwork as well as the full packaging spread. Check the full schedule below.
Tomoaki Oota is on board as the supportive director with Kei Oikawa as the main director as they work from the scripts by Masafumi Sugiura and Akihiro Ishihara. Yousuke Kashima is serving as character designer and chief animation director.
The Japanese cast includes Azumi Waki as Special Week, Marika Kōno as Silence Suzuka, Machico as Tōkai Teiō, Ayaka Ohashi as Vodka, Chisa Kimura as Daiwa Scarlet, Hitomi Ueda as Gold Ship, Saori Ōnishi as Mejiro McQueen, Yukiyo Fujii as Tazuna Hayakawa, Kōji Okino as Trainer, and Megumi Toyoguchi as Hana Tōjō.
The opening theme song is “Make Debut!” while “Glow Up Shine!” is the ending theme song.
Plot Concept: This is a tale of a world where “horse girls” with glorious names and incredible running abilities live alongside humanity. Horse girl Special Week has moved from the country to the city to attend Tracen Academy. There, she and her classmates compete to win the Twinkle Series and earn the title of “The County’s #1 Horse Girl.”
