A new anime adaptation is in the works as it’s been revealed the Whisper Me a Love Song manga from Eku Takeshima is in production. The manga began in 2019 in Comic Yuri Hime for Ichijinsha and it has seven volumes out as of its January 2023 announcement. Now, set for a January 2024 premiere the official site has been updated to reveal a new promotional video for it and an interesting change. Akira Mano has come on board to direct it, replacing Xin Ya Cai. This is something you don’t see often at all with anime and is quite surprising. And it likely speaks to why the series sis now being moved to an April 2024 premiere as well.
The anime adaptation will be directed by Akira Mano based on the series scripts overseen by Hiroki Uchida. Minami Yoshida is handling the character designs with Yokohama Animation Lab working on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Asami Seto as Yori Asanagi
- Mikako Komatsu as Aki Mizuguchi
- Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsutsui
- Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana
- Yuna Nemoto as Shiho Izumi
