The most recent Code Geass feature film landed back in February 2019 in Japan with Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection and we’ve seen the slow rumble of more projects in the coming years. The two original series are now finding themselves on the move again as Bandai Namco Arts is setting some new home video releases. As part of the 15th anniversary, we’re getting a pair of box sets for the twenty-five episodes of the original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion series and the R2 series with its twenty-five episodes.

The sets are both scheduled for a December 22nd, 2023 release where they’ll be priced at 23,000 yen for each set. Both sets come with the clean theme songs and a commercial collection as extras. It should be noted that these are the updated theme songs used during the recent rerun of the show. There are various in-store unique items being produced such as posters and illustrations.

We’ve got a bit to go and more to explore yet but the first taste of the packaging designs have been revealed below.

The original TV series premiered in 2006 with a sequel run in 2008. A spinoff OVA series began in 2012 that ran for several years with Akito the Exiled.

Plot Concept: The day Lelouch vi Britannia fell was the day his war-torn world found peace. Now, as his friends work to keep the peace, a terrorist attack could risk everything. Can he outwit death and save them all? Or will Lelouch’s legacy end here?
