‘Gundam Build Metaverse’ Anime Gets New Promo With Cast Reveal

The upcoming three-episode Gundam Build Metaverse project announced in late March 2023 as part of the tenth anniversary of the Gundam Build line due out in October 2023 has gotten a new update. The production revealed a new promo and updated with the lead trio of characters for it. Additionally, we learned that the opening theme song is “Hikari to Kaze” from BACK-ON while LINKL PLANET is performing “Days of Birth” as the ending sequence

Additionally, it has an October 6th, 2023 premiere date for it.

Masami Obari is directing it with scripts supervised by Noboru Kimura. With animation production at Sunrise Beyond, the character designs are being overseen by Kenichi Onuki.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Chika Anzai as Rio Hōjō
  • Rio Hōjō (Metaverse Avatar)
  • Rio Tsuchiya as Seria Urutsuki

Plot Concept: A new Internet service has been born in the world of Gunpla. Within the Metaverse realm, the user can control their own avatar, interact with other users, play Gunpla Battle, and purchase actual Gunpla. Rio Hojo is a boy who has dived into this new world. Studying Gunpla building techniques in the real world with Seria Urutuski, and absorbing Gunpla Battle know-how from Mask Lady in the Metaverse world, he has been honing his skills day by day. After completing his own original Gunpla, the Lah Gundam, Rio happens to encounter some past champions of Gunpla Battle in the Metaverse realm.
