The anime series Dr. Stone has had two seasons out and we knew a third one is coming but at the end of 2021 as part of the Jump Festa 2022 event, it was revealed that the third season is set for a 2023 debut. With the way productions are running these days and the ongoing rolling fallout of COVID-19, this was not a surprise. What they are doing is bringing out a new special in 2022 that’s set after the second season that focuses on Ryusui as played by Ryota Suzuki.
That saw a July 10th, 2022 debut and Crunchyroll handled streaming it pretty easily so that fans worldwide could enjoy it. Last year saw the streaming service expanding on it again as the English dub for it is now available here. Now, they’ve come back to give fans a bit more with the Italian dubbed version now available as the show continues to get done there.
Shinya Iino directed the series based on the series composition by Yuichiro Kido. Yuko Iwasa handled the character designs for it.
The Japanese cast includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Senku, Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Ōki, Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa, Yūichi Nakamura as Tsukasa Shishio, Gen Sato as Chrome, Manami Numakura as Kohaku, Tomoaki Maeno as Kinro, Ayumu Murase as Ginro, Karin Takahashi as Suika, Reina Ueda as Ruri, Kengo Kawanishi as Gen, and Mugihito as Kaseki.
The English dub is directed by Clifford Chapin based on the scripts by Tyler Walker. The main cast includes Aaron Dismuke as Senku Ishigami, Ricco Fajardo as Taiju Oki, Brittany Lauda as Yuzuriha Ogawa, Felecia Angelle as Kohaku, and Ian Sinclair as Tsukasa Shishio.
