The third installment of Deadpool is moving right along with its November 8th, 2024 date and we’ve had some fun in seeing both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman playing up everything as they finally get to live the dream that both have wanted for years. The film has Shawn Levy on board to direct from a screenplay by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese where the character will get to engage with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The latest update is an interesting one that I don’t think anyone saw coming but won’t be surprised by considering the whole multiverse thing and ways to play it. Jennifer Garner is joining the production to reprise her role from Daredevil back in 2003 as Elektra and then the spinoff that happened. Garner is certainly well-known to both Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn LEvy as they worked together on The Adam Project.

The first film was a shockingly huge hit for the studio when it arrived in February 2016 as it raked in $783 million worldwide and broke some records for an R-Rated film. The 2018 sequel currently stands at $785 million worldwide. With just under $1.6 billion for the two films and a slew of merchandise, it’s a no-brainer that there would be more.

Directed by David Leitch, the sequel stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Emma Corrin,  and Josh Brolin as Cable.

Original concept: After surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
