The film follows up the previous TV seasons and film material. They’re directed by Shin Oounuma based on scripts by Hazuki Minase with character designs by Kazuya Hirata. Silver Link worked on the animation production itself. The cast includes Kaori Nazuka as Miyu Edelfelt, Mai Kadowaki as Illyasviel von Einzbern, Aya Endo as Gil, Chiwa Saito as Chloe Von Einzbern, Hitomi Nabatame as Bazett Fraga McRemitz, Kana Ueda as Rin Tohsaka, Misato Fukuen as Tanaka, Naoko Takano as Magical Ruby, Rie Kugimiya as Beatrice Flowerchild, Ryoko Shiraishi as Angelica, Shizuka Itou as Luviagelita Edelfelt, Sumire Morohoshi as Erika and Yumi Kakazu as Magical Sapphire.

The work comes from the property that deals with the alternate world setting from the Fate/stay night universe as written and illustrated by Hiroshi Hiroyama. The series began in 2007 and has run several short-run series with each working its own progression and theme while tied to the larger work.

Sentai Filmworks has licensed the first three seasons and released the first series on DVD and Blu-ray in bilingual form.

Plot Concept: The world’s destruction progresses. The only thing that can stop it is Miyu’s sacrifice that is worthy of the Grail. When Ainsworth asks Illya, the one who carries the title of the world’s savior, what she will save between the world and Miyu, she chooses the simple and selfish answer of “both.” In a respite from the fighting, they all rest in the house Miyu and Shirō took care of. When they gather in a circle, Shirō tells them about himself and Miyu. She was the Child of God that granted any and all wishes. Shirō took in the girl who had no one else into the household that he had shared with Kiritsugu. It has been five years since then, and now they have lived peacefully like siblings. But that peaceful everyday life has now been shattered. They will take her back, but before that, Julian makes his appearance, still seeking in Miyu the miracle that he needs.
