With a lot of projects that have been on the backburner for awhile getting closed down recently – though generally not through formal announcements – Star Wars Celebration got underway today and has now set forth their plans for the theatrical side as it attempts to cover three very different eras of the property.
First, James Mangold will be directing an untitled film that will focus on the dawn of the Jedi. No other details are available.
Dave Filoni will be directing a film that will focus on the New Republic and close out the interconnected stories that are being told in The Mandalorian and other projects on Disney +.
Finally, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct a film focused on Daisy Ridley as Rey as she builds a new Jedi Order after the events of Rise of Skywalker. This film has Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight working on the screenplay for it.
