First Trailer For The ‘Flash’ Film Arrives

2 min read

The Flash feature film has been in the works for some time and has had a whole host of issues to deal with, including being one of the final pieces of the Snyderverse era of the DC film period. With a teaser of footage back during the DC Fandome event last year, the film got its first full formal trailer for the summer 2023 release during the Super Bowl yesterday as well as a shorter TV spot with some additional footage below.

Originally set for a November 4th, 2022 release, it’s scheduled for a June 16th, 2023 release and is directed by Andy Muschietti based on the screenplay by Christina Hodson.

The cast includes:

  • Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash
  • Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman
  • Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne / Batman
  • Sasha Calle as Supergirl
  • Kiersey Clemons as Iris West
  • Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen
  • Ron Livingston as Henry Allen
  • Saoirse-Monica Jackson
  • Rudy Mancuso
  • Luke Brandon Field

Plot Concept: Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
