‘My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1’ TV Anime Debuts 1st Promo With Summer 2023 Plans

Back in May 2022, we got the news that the My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1 light novels are getting an anime adaptation. The series has been set for a 2023 debut and we had some basic details previously. The first update of this year has now set if to a July 2023 premiere as a new promotional video has arrived and some of the first casting news as well that you can see below.

Yuji Yanase set to direct it and based on the series composition by Yuka Yamada. Miyako Nishida, Eri Kojima, Kaho Deguchi, and Yuko Oba are on board for the character designs with MAHO FILM handling the production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Kaito Ishikawa as Ryota Sato
  • Rin Kusumi as Emily Brown

The light novels began in 2017 and come from Nazuna Miki with illustrations by Subachi. The novels have been picked up by Vertical for release with Kodansha Comics handling the manga produced by Mawata.

Plot Concept: Ryota Sato gets the surprise of his life when he’s suddenly transported into another world and nearly clobbered at the hands of the young, pretty adventurer Emily Brown. This new world revolves around defeating monsters and profiting on whatever they drop—food, money, items, etc. Unfortunately for Ryota, he has no skills to speak of…until he learns he has the ability to get rare drops! Suddenly his luck turns around…or does it?
