As we knew previously, the second season of DC’s Stargirl is going to be an exclusive for The CW as DC Universe folded and HBO Max didn’t want to make it an exclusive there. Which is no surprise that The CW pushed hard for it as the first season, which was airing the next day after DC Universe, ended up being the most-watched summer debut in six years on the network.

The second season got underway this past August but we knew earlier this spring that the show had gotten a third season renewal as part of the overall slate from CW. Unfortunately, we’ve still got a bit to go before it arrives but as the current round of shows hit their finales, The CW is putting out this new teaser to get people excited for what’s coming down the line in either late August or early September.

The main cast includes Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore / Stargirl, Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez / Wildcat, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel / Doctor Mid-Nite, Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler / Hourman, Trae Romano as Mike Dugan, Jake Austin Walker as Henry King Jr., Hunter Sansone as Cameron, Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman, Neil Jackson as Jordan Mahkent / Icicle, Christopher James Baker as Henry King Sr. / Brainwave, Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan / S.T.R.I.P.E.

Season Concept: Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger), as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series.
