The fall 2021 anime series Kaginado is getting its Japanese home video releases set and the project is getting done in two very different forms. The show has a regular edition Blu-ray that’s priced at 3,800 yen while also getting a limited edition Blu-ray that’s priced at 19,800 yen, both of which are set to land on March 25th, 20222. Both discs themselves are the same with the full series run and the clean version of the ending. The limited-edition side comes with what looks to be a special box that will hold three CDs, the radio drama CDs, and twelve postcards along with the booklet.

With the set out in a few days, we now have a look at the regular edition cover and limited-edition packaging below!

It’s directed by Kazuya Sakamoto with Takashi Aoshima as the chief writer working with KAI and Toya Okano. Eriko Haga’s handling the character designs with LIDEN FILMS Kyoto Studio handling the animation.

The properties involved include:

  • Kanon
  • Air
  • Clannad
  • Little Busters!
  • Rewrite

Plot Concept: KAGINADO features the casts of Key’s most tear-jerking games reimagined as adorable chibi characters! But this time, the casts of CLANNAD, AIR, KANON, Rewrite, planetarian and Little Busters! aren’t here to make audiences cry. Instead anime fans will laugh along with this spirited reimaging of their favorite game series in a hilarious crossover event that flips the script on expectation and provides a fresh take on the characters fans already know and love.
