The first theatrical adaptation of the Seitokai Yakuindomo property from Tozen Ujiie landed in the summer of 2017 but it took forever to get any home video release announcements – only showing up back on March 20th, 2019. A second film was previously scheduled with a July 10th, 2020 premiere and it was only at the start of June that they finally relented on that date and pushed it to a delayed indefinitely status and then recently setting a January 1st, 2021 debut for the project.
With that out last year and a lot of anime films waiting almost a full year between theatrical and home video side, King Records has now scheduled it for release. It’s set for a March 16th, 2022 debut where it’ll be on Blu-ray only priced at 6,800 yen. Extras for it include the promos and an audio commentary and it also comes with a bonus CD that includes the theme song material.
The film was directed by Hiromitsu Kanazawa who wrote the screenplay as well. Makoto Furuta handled the character designs and served as the chief animation director with GoHands producing the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Satomi Satou as Aria Shichijō, Sayuri Yahagi as Suzu Hagimura, Shintarō Asanuma as Takatoshi Tsuda, Yōko Hikasa as Shino Amakusa, Asami Shimoda as Kotomi Tsuda, Chiaki Omigawa as Mutsumi Mitsuba, Chiwa Saito as Uomi, Emiri Katō as Kaede Igarashi, Hekiru Shiina as Nene Todoroki, Miho Hino as Toki, Mutsumi Tamura as Sayaka Dejima, Satomi Arai as Ranko Hata, Sumire Uesaka as Mori, Yu Kobayashi as Naruko Yokoshima, and Minoru Shiraishi as Kenji Yanagimoto.
A new character is joining with Yu Hirose who is being played by Miho Okasaki.
Plot Concept: Tsuda Takatoshi is about to begin his first year in Ousai Academy. His decision to enter Ousai was based upon it being close to his home and he paid no heed to the fact he’d be among the first boys to enter the recently gender-integrated school.
On his first trip to school, Takatoshi is surrounded by girls; the train has nothing but girls, the walk to school has nothing but girls and once he finally arrives he is approached by a group of girls and summarily appointed vice-president of the student council and, as expected, he is the only boy there.
Now Takatoshi finds himself surrounded by crazy girls who do nothing but horrify him with their candid conversations about feminine hygiene products and, what’s worse, assume he’s the worst kind of man, the kind who doesn’t clean himself and watches porn all day long.
