The stinger at the end of the second season finale of The Mandalorian revealed that The Book of Boba Fett would be coming in December 2021 and while we’ve had a few teases along the way and the occasional actor bit, it’s been a very quiet production – much like The Mandalorian was as secrecy is kept well. Especially with how that season ended in several ways.

The end of September 2021 revealed a December 29th, 2021 debut for it – basically waiting for Hawkeye to finish so that the two shows don’t cannibalize each other’s audience – and they released a new promotional visual to the right.

Now, the official Star Wars site has dropped a new teaser spot that shows a full minute’s worth of material that plays more as a full teaser trailer than just a shorter commercial spot. It definitely hits a lot of different moments and provides a lot of new footage.

We knew previously that Temuera Morrison will return as Boba Fett but also confirmed that Ming-Na Wen is on board with Fennec Shand for it. Favreau, Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez are serving as executive producers.

Not surprisingly, there hasn’t been any talk of a second season yet and I’ll admit to liking some one-off series as Marvel Studios is doing so more things can be explored. “They’ll probably want to test the waters first, there’s been no talk about it,” noted Morrison when asked about a second season.

Plot Concept: The series finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
