The folks at Kyoto Animation are putting together a new box set that’s definitely welcome and that we hope gets some attention overseas. The company has put together a Blu-ray box set for the Munto property, which saw its original OVA releases brought out here by Central Park Media on DVD ages ago.
The new release is going to bring together the nine episodes and the movie in one complete set on December 22nd, 2021. It’ll be priced at 30,800 yen. with that still two months off, Kyoto Animation has dropped a look at the artwork and packaging for the set, slapping a bit sample across it unfortunately, but it looks to be the final design for it which definitely looks good.
The first disc has the first five episodes a storyboard gallery for the opening, and the commercials for the original DVD release alongside an Audio commentary. The second disc has episodes six through nine plus the web audio selection and an audio commentary. The third disc goes for the movie plus related previews and commercials for it. It also includes the stage greeting video and audio commentary along with the Drama CD. The set will also include a reprint of the original booklet and a special original picture book.
