Apple TV+ has a number of original projects that are coming out later this year and are starting to tease and showcase them more. One is the ten-episode order made in January 2019 for Invasion, which was created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil as they wrote it and served as executive producers on it along with Audrey Chon. The series is set to debut on October 22, 2021, which is when we get the first three episodes for it.
With the series recently getting a second season renewal based on a lot of different metrics, Apple TV+ has now rolled out a first-look special promo that gets behind the scenes a bit and the direction they’re trying to go with it.
The cast includes:
- Sam Neill as Sheriff John Bell Tyson
- Shamier Anderson as Trevante Ward
- Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha Malik
- Firas Nassar as Ahmed Malik
- Shiori Kutsuna as Mitsuki
Plot Concept: Following multiple storylines across different continents, Invasion takes a global look at how one alien invasion would affect us all.
