‘Kiss x Sis’ Manga Ends

2 min read
A property that's barely been touched outside of Japan.

Originally airing in 2010, Discotek Media picked up the rights to the Kiss x Sis OADs – back at the end of 2020. It was a welcome moment because little of this property had been brought over before though there’s clearly interest. Now, the original source material, the Kiss x Sis manga by Bow Ditama, has apparently ended in Japan with the newest installment in Monthly Young Magazine. The property began back in 2005 in Bessatsu Young Magazine and will have twenty-five volumes total when it’s released on November 18th, 2021.

Animated by studio Feel, the series was directed by Munenori Nawa based on scripts by Masashi Suzuki while Tomoyuki Shitaya handled character design and swerved as the chief animation director.

Plot concept: Keita is studying hard for a high school entrance test, but his two beautiful elder twin stepsisters are a constant distraction. Though they mean well, Ako and Riko are also extremely sexually assertive and interested in Keita. At first, he fends them off, but little by little, with each kiss, Keita becomes close to both twins until a forbidden love triangle develops. Will taboo-breaking love bloom between two of them… or will Keita at least get into high school?!
