2 min read
Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world.

With A Quiet Place scoring $340 million in the theatrical circuit back in 2018 on its $20 million or so budget, it wasn’t any surprise at all that a sequel was put into motion. Originally scheduled for a March 20th, 2020 debut, the film has got moved a bit with a couple of tentative dates before finally settling on May 28th, 2021. The film landed on time with that date and helped to kickstart the theatrical side as it made some solid coin and has been a part of the box office since then.

The film landed at fifth place in the box office this weekend with $3 million to bring its domestic total to $150 million. But you don’t have to go to the theater to see it anymore as it’s landed on Paramount+. Paramount has been looking at shorter windows for some of their films in this post-COVID world with plans for 30-45 day windows after theatrical introduction. It’s been 45 days for A Quiet Place Part II and it’s now streaming on Paramount+ if you’re a subscriber. It can also be purchased digitally and it has its DVD and Blu-ray release set for July 27th, 2021.

Directed by John Krasinski, the film stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou.

Plot Concept: Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
